THE MCCOMB SCHOOL TO CAREERS INITIATIVE
The McComb School to Careers Initiative is operated by funds received from the Mississippi Department of Education School to Careers Office. State Director Liz Williamson and Project Coordinator Jeannine Drake provide leadership to 50 local partnerships across the state. McComb School District has partnered on a local basis with Norwood Kids Foundation for three years to provide academic tutoring for students ages 8-18. The foundation provides motivation and flavor to academic enhancement for the students of McComb School District. District School-to-Careers Coordinator, Betty Wilson and Beverly Nobles, Foundation Executive Director, collaborate with district teachers to provide the unbeatable partnership between the two agencies.
